A few of my favorite things! My top picks for makeup, skincare & randomness

Make Up For Ever HD Foundation

Yes this is constantly hyped up... but for me the hype is real.

It is a light weight silica based foundation that sits on top of the surface of the skin and creates a flawless medium to full coverage finish. Because this foundation sits on top of the skin it covers up textural imperfections in the skin. Many people with oilier skin types have commented that the lasting power of this foundation various... but I have super oily skin and have had no problems. As long as you follow a good prepping routine to get your skin ready for application, this stuff is magic in a bottle!

MAC Vanilla Pigment

The wonder color! A beautiful white gold that is just perfect for everything. Makes a great lid color and fabulous highlight color for eyes, brows, cheeks and lips. Also I love this for mixing with other colors to sheer them out.

MAC Warmed MSF

Great for tan or golden undertones. Creates a lovely bronzey glow to the skin that makes it look glowing. Holy grail for sure!

Make Up For Ever Flash Color Palette

A makeup artists must have. Essentially the flash colors are pure grease paint pigment. The colors can be mixed to make any color, flat or metallic. You can use these anywhere on the face, eyes, liner, cheeks, lips and you can even mix them down with a moisturizer to create skin tints for face painting and body art. They are not waterproof though so if you are using them on the body you will want to pair it with a makeup sealer.

Guerlian Le 2 Mascara

Is $32 too much to pay for a mascara? Umm... not when it gives you lashes like this one does. High tech polymers give increadable length, volume & curl. The brush is too die for... just grabs every damn lash and if that wasn’t enough awesomness... there’s a smaller brush for detail work and lower lashes too!

Stila #9 Brush

This is the perfect blending brush. It does all the work for you. Deposts just the right amount of color and the black goat bristlles blend color flawlessly. My favorite brush for upper crease work. Period.

Too Faced First Base Eye Shadow Primer

This one doen’t get much love due to Shadow Insurance but it is an amazing primer. It is a slightly irradesent gold color and when used under any color flat, satin or shimmer, give a lovely depth and pop to the look. It’s also very pretty by itself paired with some liner for a super easy eye look.

MAC Gel Based Mixing Medium (Pro only)

Just adore this stuff. You can mix it with any loose product to help it adhere better to the skin. Perfect for glitters. + the bottle is huge! Could not live without this stuff. Screw visine. This works so much better.

Fresh Sugar Lip Balm

Smells like a dream and makes my lips so so very soft. Always in the purse. Great for prepping the lips for color as well.

Lush Coal Face Soap

Perfect soap for oily skin. Removes makeup, dirt and is slightly exfolating as well. Leaves the skin well cleansed without feeling tight or stripped. This stuff changed my life!

Ole Henrikson Invigorating Night Gel

Loves this stuff! AHA’s gently exfolate skin whilst you sleep and help with texture and discoloration.

Kinerase Ultimate Night Moisturizer

This is my winter moisturizer. Yes it is super expensive... but it contains the highest amount of kinatin in any product on the market. Kinatin is essentially a super antioxident that helps hydrate & helps with texture and tone in the skin. Hate the price but love what it does for my skin.

Korres 24 hour Wild Rose Moisturizer

I don’t know if it really moisturizers for 24 hours but this stuff is still damn good. Leaves a lovely glow to the skin and is nice and light weight all well being still very hydrating. Has brightening properties. Full of yummy antioxidents too.

Carols Daughter Mimosa Hair Honey

Be still my heart if you have textured hair you must have this in your life!!!! Acts like a hydrating pomade but without being sticky or greasy. Gives amazing hold and shine + it smells sooo good! I use this stuff everyday!

Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb

So yummy. My favorite scent. Smells like roses and vanilla. Sexy.

Lush The Healing Touch

This is suposed to be a soild hand lotion but I use it all over my body. I have extremely dry skin and this sucker just makes my skin feel like butter! I use this at night after a hot shower and then follow it up with a light body lotion or spray.

Z Palette Review

So they may be a bit pricey ($20 a pop) but man these things are awesome! Unlike the MAC palettes the top is clear so you can see all your colors + the bottom is far more magnetic as well so the product is more secure.

For anyone who loves to depot stuff these are a must have in my opinion. They just save so much space and make life at the vanity so much easier!

Will definitely be picking up more of these a chucking the MAC ones.

Getting Crazy with #92

This was inspired by the MUFE promo image from fall 2009

If you would like to learn how I did this... Read on...

Step 1: Too Faced Shadow Insurance all over the lid up to the brow bone

Step 2: Contour crease with MUFE #92

Step 3: Take the #92 under the lash line as well and blend downwards

Step 4: Darken the outer corner of the eye with a matte black shadow, take this 3/4 of the way under the eye as well. (I think I used MAC Carbon)

Step 5: Place MUFE #9 all over the lid... be careful in this step. This is a cut crease look so you don't want to blend too much into the crease, there should be a nice clean line here.

Step 6: Highlight the brows and inner tear duct area with MUFE #306 Blend out the top on the brow downward so there is a nice fade to the color.

Step 7: Take your MUFE #92 and using a big fluffy brush lightly place this in patches along the temple and upper cheek area (this is where the black lace pattern will be going).

Step 8: Wrap a piece of lace around the eye, upper cheek and temple area. Go over the areas that you want the pattern to appear with a matte black shadow. Don't be afraid to pack it on, you want the design to be clear once you remove the lace.

Step 9: Remove the lace and touch up with previously used colors.

Step 10: Line your eyes. Rim, tightline and line the upper lashline.

Step 11: Apply Lashes... go for drama... this is a dramatic look.

Step 12: Blush. I used a plum blush (MAC Vibrant Grape). Get eighties, apply high at the hairline level to your brows and work down. Blend well.

Step 13: Using a small fluffy blending brush, contour the cheeks using the #92. Start at the hairline and end halfway down the cheekbone. Blend well.

Step 14: Apply the plum blush to the temples.

Step 15: Apply a deep rose colored lipliner and blend out (I used Sephora's automatic lip liner in rose).

Step 16: Apply a cool toned pale purple lipstick (I used MAC's Radicchio).

Step 17: Apply a cool pink lipgloss in the center of the lips (I used MAC's Culture Clash).

And your all done!!!!
